The Warriors (Director’s Cut)
Waaaarrriors! Come out and plaaaaay!
The Warriors scene transitions are amazing (and a little too slick-looking to have been in the 1979 original - were they added for the Director’s Cut, or perhaps just polished?). Ang Lee’s The Hulk made brilliant use of similar comic-book panel inspired images, which I thought at the time was unprecidented. I can’t find a representative film still at the moment, but here’s a shot of Lee in front of some comic-like storyboards.
